It's only words

If a person is misanthropic is it possible for them to stop being that way?
Because I don't want to be like this forever.

Ammelia told me I was extraordinary today. That's one of the nicest things anybody has said about me. Aaaa I love her. I got about four hugs today too. Hugs are always good.

Oooh in English lit, we were talking about one of those 'carpe diem' sex poems from the earlier years. It's called 'to my coy mistress' or something similiar. Maybe you've heard of it?
Well, my teacher was talking about syllogism (which sounds oddly like an STD) and he tried to put the first three verses of said poem into one sentence. So the first one was 'If I had all the time in the world I'd treat you like a princess' or words to that effect. Second one was 'But I don't, because were going to die soon' and to conjure up the third he came out with 'So shag me anyway' and fuck me, never before have i been so turned on by being taught literature. Gah it was the way he said it and everything. So manly and controlling. I almost dropped my pants right there and then. The profanity definitely added to the effect.

This brings me onto swearing. Don't you find it fascinating how a word, an ordinary word, can offend so many people and have such power.

Who decided expletives were going to be bad?
Why isn't 'why' a swearword?
I think it's truly amazing.

Contrary to populBoldar belief, I don't swear all that much in real life. Only when necessary. There's a time and a place.

On here i do though, to get my point across perfectly, because sometimes just saying it how it is isn't enough. Plus, everybody takes things differently and when I write, I say it in my head so I know when to stress words, when to say them sarcastically etc....but when somebody else reads it, it doesnt always have the full potential...so a bit of swearing here and there is essential. It gives it dominance. It gives it effect.
This is all terribly important.

I don't like people who swear all the time though. It makes them look ridiculous and ruins the effects of such potent word.

Whilst were on the topic of words, here's one I don't like: dysfunctional. Dysfunctional relationships. Dysfunctional family. Dysfunctional life. It suggests there's something wrong, just because it's not the norm. It's a sociological term and I would be classed as dysfunctional and it just sounds awful. Why can't there be a better term?

A type of dysfunctional family is homosexual couples. Why is that bad? Oh...just fuck people. We were talking about homosexuality being in the genes, which I'm all for, because then people can't be ostracized as much if it's something scientific and the guy behind me goes 'a gene gone wrong' as if being gay is something dirty.
Seriously, what the hell.
I was ready to turn around and punch him.
Asshole.

Then our teacher asked what we thought about it, whether it was choice or genes. She said alot of people like to say it's their choice, their lifestyle, whereas other's say it's in the genes and like to say it's not their fault, it's actually because of the illness.
Then i thought 'fuck an illness?'
I'd never thought about it like that before.
Why is a different gene in some people an illness?
Surely that can't be right?
right?

  1. Dysfunctional is a dysfunctional word.

In this case its not right. 'Illness' is a generalisation because many diseases and conditions are caused my different or defective genes. Because some people think sexual tendencies come down to genes that it can be referred to as an illness, when in reality, its really not.
